Job summary

The Park School of Baltimore invites applications for a part-time Boys’ Assistant Lacrosse Coach in the Upper School, approximately 15 hours per week. The position supports the lacrosse program and contributes to a collaborative, inclusive school culture.

Candidates should have coaching and playing experience at high school/collegiate levels, be reliable, and able to motivate students. Stipends range from $400 to $4,500 depending on background and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Coaching and playing experience at the high school and/or collegiate level (preferred).
• Ability to work with and motivate students of all skill levels.
• Punctuality at practices and games.
• Consistent attendance at practices and games; understanding of developmental program principles.
• Desire and ability to support the program's vision and goals.

Responsibilities

• Support school policies including sportsmanship, integrity, accountability, dedication, and effort.
• Maintain the school's progressive philosophy throughout the season.
• Assist the head coach with planning and other duties as needed.
• Develop and teach programmatic systems within the entire soccer program.
• Work with Athletic Trainer in event of injury.
• Plan and manage practices.
• Travel to/from away games with team.
• Traveling to/from off-campus practice with team (if applicable).
• Serve as mentor and role model to current students.
• Attend parent-coaches preseason meetings and department orientations/meetings.
• Maintain and exemplify appropriate conduct towards officials, opposing coaches, and players.
