Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking an After School Program Mentor to guide elementary students in enrichment activities after school, fostering youth development in a Christian ministry setting. This part-time, non-exempt role runs about 17–20 hours per week and emphasizes being a positive role model in the community.

Must be at least 17, with a HS diploma or GED preferred, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to pass a background check. Monday–Friday 2:00–6:00 pm; Whitehouse, TX area.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; some post-secondary training highly preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory
  • Background/Sex offender check required
  • Valid driver’s license or valid ID
  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
  • Able to work Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
