Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking a Youth Mentor to join our After School team. This part-time, non-exempt role focuses on fostering youth development by leading enrichment activities for elementary students and serving as a positive role model in a Christian ministry setting.

Applicants should be at least 17, possess a HS diploma or GED, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Availability Monday through Friday 2:00–6:00 PM is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 17 years old; high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
  • Available Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
  • Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
  • Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
  • Legally allowed to work in the United States.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school.
  • Foster youth development and positive behavior.
  • Model and uphold the Mentoring Alliance faith-based values.
  • Assist with program needs and supervision during activities.
  • Maintain safety and participate in required background checks.
