Roselle Park District is seeking a Parks Specialist to maintain and support Park District facilities and grounds. You will perform repairs, landscaping, and related tasks under the supervision of the Superintendent of Parks and Facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, valid IL driver's license, and CPR/First Aid certification. Weekend/evening availability and IMRF pension eligibility with benefits are included.

Formación

• Minimum of high school degree; or three years of grounds keeping experience or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to communicate including sighted and auditory comprehension and verbal and writing skills.
• Knowledge of operations, services and activities of grounds and facilities operations and equipment maintenance.
• Two years of responsible experience in a park agency, landscaping business, golf course, nursery, school district operations or other applicable work experience related to grounds or facility maintenance operations.
• Valid IL driver's license.
• Successful applicant must be a minimum of 21 years of age .
• Current CPR and First Aid certification; CPR must be completed with 30 days of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Safely drives the park district pick-up trucks.
• Safely operates tractors, mowing equipment, and machinery used in parks maintenance.
• Paints equipment and facilities of the District.
• Inspects parks and facilities operated by the District and participates in maintenance, repairs or appropriate activities.
• Prepares grounds for special events initiated by the District.
• Plants and trims trees and shrubs.
• Removes all garbage and refuse materials from parks and playgrounds.
• Performs all job tasks within the rules and guidelines of the District's safety program.
• Dragging and marking lines on sports fields.
• Must be available to work weekends and evening hours.
• Is available for call-outs as needed.
