Job summary

Roselle Park District is seeking a Parks Specialist I (part-time, mornings) to help maintain district buildings, grounds, and equipment. The role supports the Superintendent of Parks and Facilities and contributes to a safe, clean, well-kept park system.

The position requires 2 years of grounds or facilities maintenance experience, a valid IL driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in grounds or facility maintenance.
• Valid IL driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification; to be completed within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives park district vehicles.
• Operates mowing equipment and machinery used in parks maintenance.
• Performs basic facility maintenance and handyman tasks.
• Inspects parks and facilities and assists with maintenance and repairs.
• Assists with event preparations and grounds preparation for activities.
• Plants and trims trees and shrubs.
• Removes garbage and keeps parks clean.
• May work weekends/evenings and be on-call.
