Job summary

Roselle Park District is seeking a Parks Specialist I (PT; PM) to support maintenance of District parks, buildings and equipment. The role schedules 1-5 PM on weekdays with a 15-20 hour workweek in Roselle, IL 60172. Compensation is $18-$23 per hour, DOQ, part-time.

Ideal candidates have grounds or facilities maintenance experience, a valid IL driver's license, and be at least 21 years old. CPR/First Aid may be required within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

Knowledge of grounds and facilities operations and maintenance.
Knowledge of maintenance of athletic areas, tennis courts, playgrounds, and facilities.
Two years of experience in a park agency or related field.
Valid IL driver's license.
Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

Safely drives the park district vehicles.
Operates tractors, mowing equipment and related machinery.
Performs basic facility maintenance and handyman tasks.
Inspects parks and facilities and assists in repairs.
Uses general repair tools with safety procedures.
Works independently with minimal supervision.
Prepares grounds for district events.
Plants and trims trees and shrubs.
Removes garbage from parks and playgrounds.
May work weekends/evenings as needed.
Available for call-outs as needed.
