Job summary

Shelton School District seeks a Para Educator - Integrated Support at Bordeaux Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports instructional activities, student supervision, and IEP goals in a dynamic elementary setting.

Schedule is 6.5 hours per day, M-F, for a temporary term with potential extension based on enrollment and funding. Applicants must have two years of college credits or an AA degree, or ParaPro certification, plus a high school diploma and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must meet two years of college study or AA degree, or ParaPro passing score.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a Federal background check.
• Must complete 28 hours of district-provided training in first year.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with instructional activities and materials.
• Assist with classroom management and supervision of students.
• Provide tutoring and individualized assistance as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain classroom records.
• Support students with diverse disabilities and individualized plans.
