Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a human service field prepared for professional counseling.
• Nebraska driver’s license, proof of liability insurance, and ability to drive for work.
• Demonstrated skills to work with diverse behavioral health populations.
• Obtain and maintain licensure for LMHP/LCSW/LADC paths within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health and/or substance use assessments, treatment interventions, and counseling to individuals, couples, and families.
• Assist clients in identifying natural supports and resources to ensure stabilization.
• Build and maintain a caseload and/or referral base.
• Update client symptoms, behaviors, and safety plans; document accordingly.
• Design and deliver educational/therapeutic workshops or groups (e.g., DBT, parenting, coping skills).
• Provide behavioral health consultation with multidisciplinary teams and outside agencies.
• Offer on-call services on a rotational basis as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records per COA, HIPAA, and CCBHC standards, including timely documentation.
• Complete provider enrollment forms and reports for third-party payers.
