Job summary

Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to contribute to resident-focused care under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will help deliver therapy services and support daily living skill restoration in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You'll participate in implementing plans of care, documenting progress, and maintaining professional standards while promoting ethical and confidential practice in a welcoming facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and programs and communicate patient progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program
