Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist; assist in initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients per the established plan of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing in accordance with guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients and staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and meetings as directed.
• Monitor changes in patient conditions and communicate progress promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Conduct oneself ethically, legally and professionally; perform other duties as assigned.
