Job summary

Fair Oaks Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support individualized treatment plans and help residents regain independence in daily living skills. You will work with a positive interdisciplinary team, contributing to meaningful progress under supervision of a licensed OT.

The OTA will provide direct patient care activities, participate in care conferences, and ensure compliant documentation while maintaining professional and ethical standards in a long-term

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in screening and providing input to initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and programs and communicate patient progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times.
