Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assess and treat residents in accordance with an established treatment program. You will evaluate progress, maintain records, and coordinate with management and families on a regular basis.

The ideal candidate has graduated from an accredited OTA program, with NBCOT eligibility or a current license to practice, and strong communication skills for working with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• NBCOT exam taken or eligible; state license to practice or eligibility.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Maintain progress notes and treatment records.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of residents with occupational therapy needs and matches their needs with services available.
• Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.
• Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.
• Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
• Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.
