Job summary

Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our occupational therapy team in a long-term care setting. The OTA will work under the supervision of an evaluating OT, Rehab Supervisor, and Director of Rehab to deliver medically necessary therapy and help patients regain independence.

Responsibilities include following a planned care approach, preparing equipment, educating patients on adaptive devices, and maintaining accurate EMR notes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Wyoming licensure or eligibility required; current WYOT license in good standing for current holders.
• One-year clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with CPT and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow OT plan of care; perform interventions to achieve goals and document progress.
• Carry out rehabilitative activities under OT supervision to help patients regain function.
• Prepare rehab equipment and educate patients on adaptive devices used in therapy.
• Record and maintain accurate EMR session notes and charges.
• Provide coverage during weekends and adapt to fluctuating census.
