Job summary

PARKVIEW is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and treatment planning. You will assist with resident care as directed, maintain compliant documentation, and help ensure a safe, well-organized rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities include communicating updates to the team, assisting with staff trainings, and educating residents and families on goals and home programs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills such as inputting data into Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate with the supervising occupational therapist for progress and discharge planning.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff as needed.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides and supporting rehab program development.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home programs, and safety strategies.

Education
