Job summary

St. Edward's University in Austin invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy beginning August 2027.

The successful candidate will plan, develop curriculum, content, and teach in applied anatomy, physical disfunction (Adult/Gero/Neuro), and mental health, and assist with student recruitment and advising. Additional duties include service to the department, university and community; scholarly activity; and other duties assigned by the OT Program

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (any field) from a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body is required.
• Texas OT license or eligibility is required.
• Minimum of one year teaching at college/university level.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop curriculum; teach applied anatomy, adult/gero/neuro, and mental health.
• Assist with student recruitment, admissions, advising and service to department and university.
• Engage in scholarly activities and participate in committees as assigned.
• Collaborate with clinical sites and community to advance OT education.
