Job summary

SESI is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide services to students eligible for OT intervention under IEP/ISP. The role may include assessments where required by state and district rules. You will collaborate with teachers and families to ensure interventions support educational outcomes.

Qualifications include a OTA degree and NBCOT/state certification as specified. Strong independence, motivation, and organization are essential for success in our team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in occupational therapy assistant as required by state and contract.
• Ability to work independently. Motivated and well-organized.
• Good communication skills with adults and students

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy intervention for students using exercises and equipment to facilitate fine motor coordination based on IEP/ISP goals.
• Monitor student progress.
• Test and evaluate students to determine need for occupational therapy.
• Consult with classroom teachers regarding OT plans integrated into instruction.
• Communicate with parents on progress and home activities.
• Create solutions to challenges for individual students based on research and professional judgment.
• Make referrals to community resources as needed.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely and organized manner.
• Other duties may be assigned.
