Job summary

Woodward Inc. in Rockford, IL is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead shift transitions, set daily priorities, and ensure clear communication across the team.

You will drive performance monitoring, quality assurance, and coaching to keep operations efficient and on track. You will manage escalations, ANDON signals, and workforce responsibilities, while overseeing time-off requests, overtime planning, and staffing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Team Lead or previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Previous or current experience in machine operations is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Shift Management and Coordination: Oversee shift transitions, review pass down notes, address escalations or risks for members, methods, materials, and machinery.
• Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Track safety, quality, and delivery metrics, review non-conformance reports, conduct Gemba walks.
• Team Development and Support: Lead, coach, and develop team members; support performance progression and attendance.
• Escalation and Issue Resolution: Manage escalations, ensure ANDON signals are addressed, communicate status during shift pass downs.
• Administrative and Workforce Management: Review time off requests, update training records, plan overtime and staffing.
