Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Operations Director for the Bedford Center YMCA. This role leads Aquatics and Youth & Family Programming, guiding day-to-day operations and delivering high-quality programs while fostering member engagement and staff development.

Ideal candidates bring a track record of strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage budgets and safety standards across a dynamic facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience in related fields.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in aquatics, recreation, youth programming, or nonprofit operations.
• YMCA Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor certification preferred or obtainable.
• YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred or obtainable during employment.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and related certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Bedford Center YMCA's Aquatics Department and Youth & Family Programming.
• Oversee daily operations of indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, including swim lessons and events.
• Lead staff development, performance evaluations, and a service-oriented culture.
• Develop operating plans to boost participation, member engagement, and revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and YMCA standards; manage budgets and finances.
• Build partnerships with City of Bedford, schools, and community organizations.
