Greater Austin YMCA is hiring an Aquatics Director to lead all aquatic operations and programs, driving safety, quality, innovation, and growth while building a high‑performing team through coaching and intentional staffing. This role will cultivate community partnerships and expand programming for children, families, and the broader community to position our aquatics programs for long‑term excellence.

The director will oversee budgeting, compliance, scheduling, and data‑driven program

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in recreation, nonprofit management, or related field.
2–3 years of leadership experience in aquatics or recreation, including supervising and developing teams.
Experience recruiting, coaching, and retaining high‑performing leaders and fostering accountability.

Responsibilities

Lead all aquatic operations and programs to ensure safety, quality, and growth.
Coach and develop a high‑performing aquatics team with effective staffing and leadership practices.
Oversee scheduling, safety compliance, risk management, and program budgeting.
