Job summary

Medtronic in Fridley, MN, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to keep our Rice Creek site safe, reliable, and compliant. This on-site role supports life-saving manufacturing and site operations, with daytime hours Monday–Friday.

You will repair and maintain facilities and equipment, work across trades, perform inspections, and use CMMS for work orders. Strong problem solving and hands-on skills are essential; HVAC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Facilities/Maintenance experience.
• Experience with CMMS preferred for workflow management.
• HVAC certification preferred to support site needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
• Typically performs work in carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, and sheet metal fabrication
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance needs
• Uses hand and power tools
• Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
• Uses blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
