The ideal candidate holds an active Florida OT license, has at least 1 year of skilled nursing or long-term care experience, and demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Active Florida OT license.
• Minimum 1 year experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of therapy regulations and documentation standards.
• Excellent communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nursing, administration, and other departments to provide effective therapy services.
• Develop, implement, and maintain individualized occupational therapy care plans.
• Conduct resident evaluations, progress reviews, care planning, and discharge coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, resident progress, and treatment outcomes.
• Ensure therapy practices align with current clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to therapy staff in collaboration with the Director of Rehabilitation.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Complete administrative duties, including documentation, reports, and billing accurately.
