Lake Eustis Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Eustis, FL is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a full-time basis.

You will work with licensed OTs and a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized therapy, monitor progress, document treatments, and help residents regain independence and improve quality of life. This role offers competitive pay and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current Florida COTA license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Genuine commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' functional abilities and independence.
• Guide residents through therapeutic exercises and activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote recovery and maximize independence.
• Monitor resident progress and accurately document treatments and responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure resident safety during therapy sessions while following all infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
