Christ Church in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Non-profit Full Charge Bookkeeper to maintain day-to-day accounting, ensure financial integrity, and support audits for our church operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of nonprofit bookkeeping, an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, and hands-on Shelby experience. Advanced Excel and payroll knowledge are essential for accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with Shelby is helpful and fund accounting.

Responsibilities

• Core Accounting & Recordkeeping: record all financial transactions, reconcile bank/credit cards, process accounts payable and donor contributions.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: generate monthly financial statements and maintain filing systems (7-year retention).
• Budget Support: enter budgets and monitor variances, provide real-time budget reports to program directors.
• Other Duties: liaise with external auditors and support annual audits; identify process improvements.
