Job summary

Growing Hope seeks a Director of Finance to lead the nonprofit's financial health, planning, and compliance. You will oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, grants, and internal controls, partnering with leadership to translate data into strategy.

You will drive multi-year forecasts, improve systems, and ensure transparency for the board and funders while maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness. This hybrid role supports mission-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible accounting and financial management experience.
• Nonprofit finance leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting.
• Ability to translate financial data into actionable guidance for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall financial health and sustainability of the agency.
• Develop multi-year forecasts and scenario models.
• Oversee accounting functions including GL, payroll, and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for executives and board.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and donor restrictions.
