The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, ASCP certification encouraged, and demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork, and independent work ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related science.
• ASCP certification (or equivalent) as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist is encouraged.
• Experience with collecting specimens including DOT-regulated urine drug screens and breath alcohol testing.
• Ability to multitask across several subdepartments.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens properly and label them accurately.
• Verify specimens, test orders, and patient identification.
• Perform a wide range of diagnostic lab tests using established procedures.
• Maintain lab instruments with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy and consistency.
