Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing in Washington state is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time onsite contract at a middle school. You will design and implement IEPs for students with diverse disabilities and collaborate with teachers, paras, related services, and families to enhance academic and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Special Education Teacher certification required.
• Experience working with middle school students preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of disabilities and tailored instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with instructional teams, support staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement IEPs for a diverse spectrum of student needs.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paras, related service providers, and families to enhance student success.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress regularly.
• Employ evidence-based instructional techniques and adaptive resources.
• Contribute to school meetings and professional development sessions.
