Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an onsite contract-to-hire role near Orland Park, IL for the full school year. You will work with either high school or K-8 students, delivering instruction aligned to IEPs and maintaining clear communication with families and staff.

You will manage a caseload, differentiate lessons, and complete required documentation and progress reports. Collaboration in IEP meetings is essential, with a commitment to equitable education.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 Endorsement required.
• Proven experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and school staff.
• Adaptability and resourcefulness in responding to classroom and caseload needs.
• Commitment to creating equitable opportunities and supporting student growth.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to students based on their IEPs.
• Manage a caseload across either high school or K-8 grade levels, according to your experience and preference.
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans to meet the needs of each learner.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and other stakeholders.
• Complete all documentation, progress reports, and compliance tasks related to special education.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate actively within the school community.
