Qualifications

• Employment as a teacher (preferred).
• Must complete the New Mexico Activities Association’s online coaching course.
• CPR Certified.
• Valid New Mexico coaching license.
• Three years specific sport related experience preferred.
• Girls Sport – Female candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises sport specific student-athletes and assistant coaches in accordance with the Gadsden Independent School District’s policies and applicable laws.
• Promotes and encourages students to play sports; treats student-athletes professionally with the athletic coordinator and campus principal.
• Holds pre-season meetings with athletes and parents to discuss philosophy and responsibilities; prepares signed documents.
• Develops a program that excels in athletic performance, classroom achievement, and community expectations.
• Conducts self in a manner that brings credit to the team and school.

NM coaching license

Three years sport experience

Girls sport – female candidate

Education
