Job summary

Gadsden Independent School District is seeking a dedicated athletics supervisor for middle school programs. You will oversee student-athletes and assistant coaches, ensure compliance with district policies, and promote a positive, safe sport culture in partnership with the athletic coordinator and campus principal.

Responsibilities include upholding the Code of Ethics, coordinating participation guidelines, scheduling, travel arrangements, and ensuring required NM Activities Association

Qualifications

• Must complete the New Mexico Activities Association online coaching course.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid New Mexico coaching license.
• Three years specific sport related experience preferred.
• Girls Sport – Female candidate preferred.
• Employment as a teacher is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for coaching responsibilities.
• Alternatives to qualifications may be considered by the board.

Responsibilities

• Supervises student-athletes and assistant coaches, and evaluates program with athletic staff.
• Enforces Code of Ethics and promotes sportsmanship.
• Collaborates with Campus Principal and Athletic Coordinator.
• Ensures all required paperwork is completed and signed before practices.
• Attends meetings, clinics, and coordinates travel and facilities.
• Works with the high school program to align strategies.
