Job summary

KIPP New Jersey is seeking paraprofessionals who guide students as they strive toward college, with leadership inside and outside the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, families, and the community to support student achievement and well-being.

Responsibilities include small group or 1:1 instruction, behavior plans, attendance and progress tracking, coordinating related services, and helping students with disabilities participate fully in learning.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 48 college credits from an accredited institution.
• ABS training is required as part of paraprofessional qualifications.
• Knowledge of IEPs is essential to support individualized planning.
• Candidates should hold high expectations for each student.
• Candidates should exhibit positive rapport with students and a collaborative mindset.
• A desire to have fun every day supports engagement and persistence.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group or 1:1 instructional assistance for remediation and practice.
• Assist in classroom preparations and reinforce instructional materials per student needs.
• Implement and track progress of behavior intervention plans (BIP) with fidelity.
• Conduct attendance and maintain daily student progress records and program tracking.
• Coordinate transitions to related services (speech, OT, PT, counseling, etc.).
• Support students with disabilities in activities of daily living to maximize participation.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement an integrated, student-centered curriculum.
• Contribute to development and execution of school-wide culture supports.
