KIPP New Jersey is seeking a paraprofessional committed to helping students succeed. You will provide instructional assistance, support classroom strategies, and help implement behavior plans across classrooms, with a focus on student-centered learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 semester hours from an accredited institution.
• ABS training.
• IEP knowledge.
• High expectations for each student.
• Positive rapport with students.
• Desire to have fun every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group or 1:1 instructional assistance in remediation and repeated practice.
• Assist in classroom preparations and reinforce instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
• Implement and track progress of behavior intervention plans (BIP) with fidelity.
• Conduct attendance, maintain daily student progress records, and program tracking.
• Transition students to and from related service sessions (speech/language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, academic small groups).
• Assist students with physical or mental disabilities with activities of daily living to maximize participation in school or learning activities.
• Work with teachers to implement an integrated curriculum and student-centered environment.
• Participate in developing and executing culture supports for students in line with school values.
• Follow safety rules and regulations governing assistance for all students.
