Job summary

North Andover Middle School is seeking a Middle School Assistant Principal for maternity leave. You will work under the Principal to provide leadership, curriculum and management for a safe and effective learning environment.

The role requires MA certification as an Assistant Principal/Principal, a Master’s Degree, and several years of related experience; strong communication and administrative skills are essential. This is a full-time, on-site position in North Andover, MA.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts certification as an Assistant Principal/Principal is required or preferred.
• Master's Degree; further study preferred.
• Three years of experience as an Assistant Principal, director, department head or lead teacher preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the school's educational program in collaboration with the Principal.
• Help implement curriculum and ensure standards across grades.
• Establish high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline with due process.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff and community members.
• Assist in budget development and administrative tasks.
