Amherst Regional High School seeks an Interim Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-year assignment reports to the principal and works with the leadership team to support teaching and learning, student success, and a safe, welcoming school environment.

The role focuses on instructional improvement, responding to student and family concerns, addressing conduct and attendance, and coordinating school operations.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE licensure as a Principal/Assistant Principal at the secondary level, or eligibility for the appropriate licensure or waiver.
• Experience supporting students, staff, and instructional practice in a secondary school.

Responsibilities

Reports to: Principal

Amherst Regional High School is seeking an Interim Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full year assignment ending on June 30, 2027. The Assistant Principal works with the Principal and school leadership team to support teaching and learning, student success, and a safe, welcoming school environment.

The Interim Assistant Principal supports instructional improvement; responds to student and family concerns; addresses student conduct and attendance; helps coordinate school operations and initiatives; and supervises and evaluates teachers, clerical staff and paraeducators in accordance with District procedures. Specific responsibilities will be assigned by the Principal.
