Job summary

Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc. is hiring a Mental Health Residential Caseworker in Washington, PA. This full-time role involves direct supervision, case management, and recovery-oriented support for adults with serious mental health conditions in a residential setting.

You will help residents develop independent living skills, coordinate services with providers, and maintain accurate documentation while adhering to licensing requirements. Training is provided and daily pay is available.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (or 60 credit hours) and three (3) years of experience with mental health and/or co-occurring diagnoses.
• Five (5) or more years of experience may substitute for college coursework at the discretion of the hiring manager.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and follow-through abilities.
• Understanding of recovery-oriented and person-centered approaches to mental health services.
• Knowledge of serious mental illness and psychiatric rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to establish supportive therapeutic relationships with residents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to safely respond to crisis situations.
• Basic computer proficiency and electronic documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, case management, rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented support to adults with serious mental health conditions in a residential setting.
• Assist residents in developing independent living skills including personal hygiene, housekeeping, budgeting, medication self-management, transportation, and meal preparation.
• Coordinate services with mental health providers, psychiatrists, case managers, family members, and community resources to support individualized recovery goals.
• Monitor resident progress, assist with assessments and service planning, provide crisis intervention support, and encourage wellness, independence, and self-determination.
• Complete accurate documentation, medication records, progress notes, and incident reports while maintaining compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
