Job summary

Medcentris is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing procedures and direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or advanced practitioner. The role includes observing patients, administering medications, wound care, and venipuncture when competent, with documentation in the EMR.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold current LPN licensure, a CPR/BLS certification, and TB/flu vaccinations. Travel to clinics and home visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners, with no restrictions.
• CPR/BLS required.
• TB and Flu vaccination.
• Willingness to travel to various clinic locations and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Observe, record and report patient conditions to supervising MD/NP/PA.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per plan of care.
• Assist MD/NP/PA in specialized procedures and wound care/dressing changes.
• Prepare equipment and materials and maintain aseptic technique.
• Document progress notes in the EMR and participate in case conferences.
