Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in Missouri is seeking an LPN to provide essential nursing care for residents and support the care team. You will assess residents on admission and regularly, communicate changes with the interdisciplinary team and families, and document care plans and interventions.

The role requires CPR/AED and IV certification within six months, ability to lift and move heavy residents, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in LPN
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working
• CPR and AED certification or willing to obtain within six months
• IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Excellent communication with residents, visitors and staff
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary
• Ability to transfer and move patients weighing 200+lbs with assistance
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing >40lbs with assistance
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands
• Visual acuity and ability to distinguish color
• Ability to perform documentation electronically and in writing

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care by assisting in resident assessments on admission and ongoing.
• Maintains communication with the IDT and families about changes in condition.
• Accurately documents all assessments.
• Participates in the care planning process and updates the plan as needed.
• Implements nursing interventions, including medication administration and treatments, safely.
• Administers IV fluids only if IV certified and uses SBARR for physician notifications.
• Responds to call lights and assists with residents' ADLs as needed.
• Completes ongoing education and stays current with Bethesda policies.
