Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Fairview Heights (IL) is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, and review lab results. You will work under a Center Manager and Center Physician guidance within BioLife's regulatory framework.

Requirements include EMT/ RN licensure or equivalent, CPR/AED, and at least two years clinical experience. The role supports vaccination programs and occupational health initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Healthcare licensure or certification as EMT/ RN is required.
• Regulatory awareness for plasma collection standards and safety.
• FDA training completion for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, and examination.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormalities or guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage occupational health/ER incidents and coordinate with EHS.
