Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support center operations in Fairview Heights, IL. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review lab results and notify donors of unsuitable tests. You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or nursing-equivalent, active state licensure/certification (EMT/LPHN/RN), CPR/AED, FDA training, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Current EMT/paramedic or nursing licensure in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification are required.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility with informed consent, medical history, and tests.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support EHS and vaccination programs and incident investigations.
