Job summary
Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Yavapai County Detention Centers in Camp Verde, AZ. The role involves hands-on nursing care in a correctional setting, collaborating with RNs and physicians in a dedicated team.
This full-time LPN position offers a consistent daytime/shift rotation schedule (Sun-Tues 12PM - 10 PM), comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth while serving justice-involved patients with dignity and compassion.
Qualifications
- Active unrestricted LPN license in state of practice.
- 1–2 years nursing experience; correctional experience preferred.
- Active CPR certification.
- Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressures settings.
- Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions.
- Providing wound care and dressing changes.
- Supporting documentation and care planning.
- Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients.
- Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
