Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company in San Diego seeks a Loss Mitigation Intake Coordinator to manage the initial intake for loss mitigation, gather financial documents, and review applications for eligibility under investor guidelines and CFPB standards.

You will work with the Loss Mitigation team to ensure timely, compliant processing, maintain records, and provide customer service while staying current on industry rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; finance, business, or related degree preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in Loss Mitigation, mortgage servicing, or related field.
• Ability to work well independently or within a team.
• Must handle confidential matters with discretion.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Wiki, and cloud-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Gather supporting documentation to create complete loan workout packages within required timeframes, ensuring compliance with investor, insurer, state, federal, and CFPB guidelines.
• Enter and upload documents to the BLITZ/AIQ document repository.
• Follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely decision-making per regulations and guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and guiding customers through loss mitigation.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and documentation.
• Collaborate with Loss Mitigation team to ensure efficient processes for customers.
• Stay current on industry regulations and recommend policy updates.
