Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a law firm as an Appeals Specialist or Billing professional.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Adobe; ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
• Experience navigating eBilling platforms for major insurance carriers.
• Strong research, troubleshooting, and responsiveness to billing inquiries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Manage the appeal process for reduced invoices for insurance carriers.
• Generate reports using Word, Adobe, and Excel for staff to use in comments to appeal.
• Manage appeal deadlines and coordinate with legal staff to meet them.
• Submit appeals via various eBilling platforms.
• Communicate with timekeepers, billing specialists, and payables to resolve reductions.
• Apply knowledge of the eBilling/billing processes for insurance clients.
• Understand insured matter billing and major carrier guidelines.
• Problem-solve to resolve complex invoice reductions and prevent future issues.
