Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our clinical lab team. You will receive and sort specimens, prepare samples for testing, and maintain equipment in a fast-paced environment. Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00pm to 8:30pm.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; preferred candidates have 3 months of specimen processing and 3 months of medical or laboratory experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
