Job summary

Labcorp in RTP, NC seeks a Lab Assistant to join our team. You will receive and sort clinical lab specimens, prepare them for testing, perform data entry, and support instrument maintenance in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00pm–8:30pm. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; preferred candidates have 3+ months of specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ months of specimen processing experience preferred.
• 3+ months of medical or laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
