Job summary

MISO, based in Carmel, IN, invites students pursuing Accounting/Finance, Business, or Data Analytics to join its 2027 Summer Internship Program. You will work on high-impact internal audit projects and gain exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley controls while helping keep the lights on for millions.

This hands-on internship pairs you with a mentor and cross‑department buddy, includes lunch-and-learn sessions, and offers housing assistance and site-based work for about 40 hours a week.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Accounting/Finance, Business/Business Administration or Data Analytics/Data Science (Undergraduate or Graduate).
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Eager to learn from an experienced audit team and gain exposure to Entity Level and Sarbanes-Oxley audits.

Responsibilities

• Perform control testing, evaluate business processes, document audit evidence, and contribute to risk mitigation and compliance.
• Work with your manager and mentor and connect with a cross-departmental buddy.
• Learn from industry experts during interactive lunch & learn sessions.
• Attend community service events, intern socials, networking activities, and development programming.
• Present a final report summarizing your project work, recommendations, and impact.
