Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in-house Learning and Development seeks an experienced Instructional Designer to design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions that help our employees thrive in current and future roles.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructors, and teammates to create engaging training materials—printables, digital modules, microlearning, animations, videos, and materials to support live sessions—using multimedia to enhance retention.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing learner-centric content.
• Ability to create e-learning modules, videos and interactive content.
• Experience with multimedia elements to enhance learning.
• Ability to adapt content for relevance and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs to identify learning needs and objectives.
• Outline, storyboard and deliver instructional materials, including e-learning modules and videos.
• Incorporate feedback to improve content and measure impact.
• Apply instructional design methodologies to maximize engagement and retention.
• Use multimedia elements to enhance learning experiences.
• Adapt existing content to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in instructional design.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure effectiveness.
