Job summary

IU Health Fort Wayne Hospital is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support inpatient units, including ICU and progressive care, with rotating weekend coverage. The role emphasizes evaluation and treatment of communication, cognitive- linguistics, voice, feeding, and swallowing across the lifespan.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, supervise students and support personnel, document and code accurately, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Indiana state license.
• ASHA CCC or eligibility.
• BLS certification; ALS may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services across the lifespan.
• Evaluate communication, cognitive-linguistic, voice, feeding, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable goals.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.
• Supervise students and support staff per state regulations.
• Document, code, and manage discharge planning as required.
