Job summary

BRC is seeking an Independent Living Specialist to manage an assigned caseload of tenants, help with entitlements, and connect clients with community resources. The role includes supportive counseling and regular apartment visits to maintain housing stability in a safe environment.

The incumbent will work with program participants, coordinate with the social services team, and ensure compliance with guidelines while fostering client independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• BA preferred; at least three years relevant experience.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience with substance abuse and/or mentally ill populations required.
• Basic computer literacy required.
• CPR certification or willingness to take CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of tenants to support housing stability.
• Assist with applications and recertifications for entitlements; provide linkages and referrals to community resources.
• Provide supportive counseling and conduct regular apartment visits to ensure safety and compliance.
