Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through At Home Healthcare, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant in Colorado to deliver treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education under the supervising PT, and follow the established plan of care.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary care team in home-based settings, monitor patient progress, and ensure safety and quality of care while supporting families and caregivers. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification or obtian by date of hire
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and perform only procedures qualified for and defined by the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses to treatment and coordinates care with the health care team
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the PTA scope
