Job summary

The Snohomish School District is seeking a skilled coaching professional to assist the head coach in implementing a winter high school sports program. Candidates will help develop players’ skills, foster teamwork and ensure ethical conduct.

You will contribute to game strategy, maintain safety, and manage equipment and records. Requirements include coaching experience, WIAA certification or willingness to obtain, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated coaching experience at head or assistant level.
• WIAA coaching certification standard preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Teacher certification preferred.
• Background checks and references required.
• First Aid/CPR certification and HIV/AIDS training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in implementing a sports program.
• Develop fundamental skills and understanding of the sport for participants.
• Model cooperation, sportsmanship and ethics.
• Help determine and implement game systems and strategies.
• Maintain safe environment and monitor participant eligibility and behavior.
• Issue and inventory equipment; maintain related records.
