Job summary

WellLife Network seeks an Assistant Habilitation Specialist to support classroom operations and empower participants toward greater independence. You will help with activities of daily living, monitor progress, and model positive behavior across diverse settings.

The role includes documentation, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with the team to implement treatment goals and schedule activities. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must complete AMAP, SCIP, CPR, and First Aid training.
• Ability to provide ADL training and total support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of the classroom and support participants’ independence.
• Implement goals to maximize independence as determined by the IDT.
• Provide ADL training and perform tasks for individuals requiring total support as needed.
• Monitor progress by collecting and documenting performance data.
• Serve as a positive role model in program and community settings.
• Provide behavioral interventions using OPWDD approved techniques when necessary.
• Maintain and implement all required safety techniques (AMAP, SCIP, CPR, First Aid).
• Follow the established activity schedule for each consumer.
• Complete paperwork and data entry in the electronic data system as needed.
